She can see where there is a wrong mix of ideas or materials, when the division between two ideas isn’t clear. If this sounds like a structural or architectural idea — it is. But it has come to Ray through her painting.

Zwischen Bild und Wirklichkeit

Bei dem Versuch Mögliches sichtbar zu machen bedient sich die Architekturdarstellung einer breiten Palette grafischer und malerischer Mittel. Inspiration dazu lässt sich vielerorts finden. Die hier ausgewählten Arbeiten sollen inspirieren und ein vielfältiges wenn auch nur bruchstückhaftes Bild einer Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema zeigen.

Es liegt im Wesen der Architektur Präsenz zu verkörpern und Inbegriff der Wirklichkeit zu sein. Eben das unterscheidet sie von anderen Disziplinen. Sie gibt ein Versprechen von Wirklichkeit, von Authentizität und Wahrheit. Besonders in der Darstellung lässt sich der nötige Möglichkeitsraum finden um sich dieser verwurzelten Vorstellung entgegenzustellen und sie zu verändern.
